salted butter. softened

cup
unsalted butter, softened

confectioners' sugar

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°.
Put liners in muffin tin and set aside.
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.
Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until well blended.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in vanilla.
Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk; beat well.
Toss chocolate chips with flour and then add to the mixture.
Bake for 15-17 minutes. Makes 12.
Chocolate Frosting
In a large bowl, sift sugar and cocoa powder together and set aside.
In a medium bowl, cream butter and vanilla.
Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed.
Scrape sides of bowl often.
Add milk, and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
Makes 3 cups of icing.
