Maple Buttercream Frosting
Top French Toast Cupcakes with this frosting and sprinkle with chopped bacon.

- ½ cup shortening
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 Tbsp real maple syrup
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp milk
- Chopped bacon for garnish
Cream together 1/2 cup shortening and ½ cup butter using an electric mixer.
Add maple syrup.
Gradually add powdered sugar and milk;
beat until light and airy.
Sprinkle with chopped bacon before frosting sets.
