Orange Cupcakes from Buttercream Bump Off

Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

A simple frosting to compliment the Orange Dreamsicle cupcakes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened (2 sticks)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract [recipe called for clear extract, I used regular pure vanilla extract]
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar [powdered sugar]
  • 2-3 Tbsp milk

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed.
  • Scrape sides of bowl often.
  • Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
  • For best results, keep icing in the refrigerator when not in use. This icing can be stored for up to 2 weeks. Rewhip before using.
