I love cozy mysteries, but sometimes I like to read novels with a bit more bite. This novel has a 5-Star bite. The twists just kept coming and the pages kept turning until everything was tied together in a way I did not see coming.

New York Times Best Selling Author, Mary Kubica has created another amazing psychological thriller. Main character Meghan is a relatable busy mom. The events she endures in this novel will leave you gasping.

Outline and Tone:
This novel has so many twists and unexpected character actions that it is difficult to write this review without spoilers. I will give you the main plot and you will have to decide what and who to believe as well as who exactly is the “She” in She’s Not Sorry.
Meghan is a single mom and busy ICU nurse. She is discovering how to cope with her divorce and her teenage daughter. She also connects with an old friend from high school at a divorce support group. Relationships in her life are all taking new forms. While she loves her job, it is also stressful and demanding.
The threads of the plot begin to be pulled as the family of one of her patients keeps requesting her as the head nurse for their daughter. Meghan begins to feel more and more uncomfortable.
The Best Quote:
“It’s hard because as nurses, it’s in our nature to be compassionate, and these two things—detachment and compassion—are at odds with one another.”
Point of View:
The novel is told from a first person point of view. Main character Meghan’s thoughts and fears are part of what makes this book so great.

Ms. Kubica is active on Facebook where she is currently featuring her newest novel She’s Not Sorry. She also posts on Instagram and less frequently on X.
What is not to like?:
This is a 5-star read, no notes. Just go enjoy it!
The verdict:
I promise that as the novel progresses, author Mary Kubica brings all the loose threads together in shocking ways. There is not just one plot so just when you think you’ve guessed it, keep reading because I’m sure you there are more twists coming that you did not predict.
