Baking Bonus: Great Grandma Lydia’s Date Filled Cookies

These cookies have been a treasured family recipe for decades. My great grandma was from Nebraska and made these as treats during the holidays. The cookies are sweet and satisfying with oatmeal in the dough. Every year these are the cookies I look forward to enjoying.

What would I do differently next time?

I might use 3 cups of flour. My dough was very sticky and I did need to add more flour once on the counter.

Will I make it again?: Yes! 😋😋😋😋😋I make them every year!

I usually read and review books with recipes, but I add a baking bonus every once in a while. Here are some of the best.
