4 Different Ways to Make Orange Julius
Just three short weeks ago, I finished Joanne Fluke’s cozy mystery novel, Plum Pudding Murder. While I was thumbing through the recipes trying to decide which one to make for my blog, I got a flash from the past in my memory. Featured in that novel was a recipe for Orange Julius Cookies.
Not only do I have memories of hanging out at my local mall and getting an Orange Julius any chance I could, I also remembered my sister and I making homemade Orange Julius for our kids. My sister, Jen, and I loved playing around with recipes and trying to make them better. Our kids were often the judges of the creations. We had outstanding success with making a variety of Orange Julius recipes. In my home, the Orange Julius Supreme, which I will show you step by step how I make them, became a Christmas Morning tradition to this day. Even when my now grown kids come home for the holidays, they expect to have tall glasses of this delicious drink ready to sip while opening presents.

Orange Julius Supreme
Assemble the Ingredients
The main ingredient that differentiates regular Orange Julius and Orange Julius supreme is the vanilla ice cream. The richer the brand of ice cream you choose, the richer and more supreme this version is.
If the orange juice concentrate is really hard, let is sit on the counter for 10-15 minutes so it is easier to scoop out of the can.
Add the concentrate to the blender, I usually put the ice cubes in first so the blades will start wit the ice.
Next pour in the milk
the sugar,
And the vanilla.
Lastly add the vanilla ice cream.
Run the blender on high until the ice has been crushed and the ice cream is well blended.
